About Wearing History Patterns
If you've been interested in vintage sewing patterns for a while, you know how pricey they can be. The ones I offer to home sewers are updated copies of rare patterns that cost quite a bit of money if you were to buy the original. I try to bring these to the public to use and be unafraid of harming the original, and at a fraction of the price of an original pattern. I have painstakingly collected and researched vintage clothing and clothing construction for many years and have based the designs in my pattern line from authentic period originals.

When you purchase a pattern from me you are receiving a pattern that is digitally drawn or a copy of a carefully hand drawn pattern and printed on bond paper.  Instead of perforated markings or dots for guides as many original historic pattern had you are getting a pattern with drawn markings, similar to a modern sewing pattern.  Seam allowance lines are not drawn on, but are indicated in the instruction pack and sometimes on the pattern pieces themselves.  Seam allowance can vary from pattern to pattern so be sure to read all instructions carefully before use and make a muslin mock up to check fit and construction.

My patterns come to you in a clear plastic resealable bag for ease of use and storage.  There is plenty of space to store your cut pattern and even include a swatch of your fabric and inspiration pictures if you choose.  The cover is printed on cardstock or glossy paper and the instructions are a packet of black and white print out instructions that follow period construction of the garment.  The pattern itself is printed on nice weight bond paper- sturdy enough to use and reuse without worry.  Many people choose to trace the pattern off first onto their own paper as it preserves the original pattern for future use. Some of my patterns are available in one size only that can be resized- see the side tab for links to pattern grading and resizing.  Multisize patterns are digitally drawn and you can follow the corresponding dotted line for your size.
These are created for home sewing or non profit use.  These patterns were not created for commercial use.

Patterns ship via USPS Flat Rate.  Up to two patterns for $4.95 within the USA.  If extra shipping is required I will invoice you for the amount.
