My first true attempt at a Victorian gown, this was made for the Riverside Dickens Faire in 2005. The bodice was from Patterns of Fashion by Janet Arnold and the skirt was from Truly Victorian. The overskirt was my own creation. This used contrast of red and black silk with a stripe pattern woven into it and velvet for accents. Self pleats, braid, and tassels are trimming.
